2020 North Dakota Library Association Conference

The 2020 NDLA Annual Virtual Conference will be held October 28th from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Registration cost is $40 for NDLA members and $50 for non-members.

  • Keynote address by Scott McCloud
  • Nine breakout sessions presented by library professionals
  • Vendor Lightning Session highlighting products and services

Awards Ceremony and Business Meeting 

All members are encouraged to attend the Awards Ceremony (Oct. 28 at 7 pm) and Business Meeting (Nov. 4 at 1 pm). Both events are free of charge of members, but please pre-register by Friday, October 23 to receive the Zoom information.

Shark Tank Mini-Grant Competition

NDLA members are invited to participate in the 2020 NDLA Annual Virtual Conference Shark Tank Mini-Grant Competition.

A committee of evaluators will use a rubric to select the five best proposals based on this submission. Those five members will give a 5-8 minute presentation during the business meeting session on Wednesday, November 4 at 1 pm held on Zoom.

Meeting attendees will vote for their favorite projects using the following criteria:

-Innovative Idea

-Benefit to local library community (patrons, school, students, etc.)

-Support of NDLA's Mission

The top two presentations, as voted on by NDLA members, will each receive $375 to implement their projects. Winners will be required to submit a brief article submission and pictures for a spring issue of The Good Stuff and will receive financial reimbursement after the successful completion of the project. All projects must be completed by February 1, 2021.

The deadline to submit a proposal is Monday, October 12 at 5 pm. The five finalists will be announced on Friday, October 16. Finalists must be available to present on Wednesday, November 4 between 1-3 pm. Submit your proposal here
