As a professional organization, NDLA recognizes how important these organizations can be in professional development.  The NDLA encourages its members to be active in other organizations.  There are opportunities to freely attend the NDLA Annual Conference, join the regional affiliate Mountain Plains Library Association (MPLA), or attend Midwest Chapter of the Medical Library Association.
