Notable Document Award

Deadline: NDLA Annual Conference

Purpose:

This award began in 1982 and asks NDLA conference attendees to vote for...

State publications based on visual or content appeal/merit. The three document winners from conference are submitted to the national competition held by the American Library Association as the winning Notable Documents from the state of North Dakota.

The 2023 Notable documents are:

Nomination Procedure:

The roundtable co-chairs solicit nominations for the award in spring and finalize the list, typically six documents by summer.
In order for a document to be considered, it needs to be published 18 months prior to the conference voting.
Once the documents have been selected, the co-chairs obtain a copy of each document to use at the conference for voting.

Results are tallied and announced at the NDLA Annual Conference
The publisher receives a certificate recognizing their document as the Notable State Document.
