She is an advocate for mindfulness, body and neurodiversity acceptance and promoting psychological safety in the workplace. Learn more about her on her website, Librarian by Day.

NDLA Conference Scholarship

Applications are open for the NDLA Conference Scholarship (formerly the Grassroots Grant)! New this year: eligibility has been opened up to all NDLA members, not just new members or those attending the conference for the first time. Please read the details below, consider applying, and share widely!

The Membership Committee awards the Conference Scholarship to support attendance at the Fall Annual Conference which offers training, networking, and leadership opportunities for librarians throughout the region. The Conference Scholarship is open to all NDLA members. New NDLA members, those new to the ND library community, and early career librarians are especially encouraged to apply.

The Conference Scholarship covers full-conference registration fees (optionally including the pre-conference on Wednesday) for up to two recipients. Recipients are responsible for travel, lodging, and any meals not covered in the conference registration fee. Recipients must agree to:
  • Attend the full conference (Thursday and Friday)
  • Attend the Executive Board Meeting during the conference as a guest (virtual options available)
  • Write a short piece for The Good Stuff about their experiences at the conference
Eligibility:
Applicants must be a current NDLA member and have not received a Conference Scholarship (formerly the Grassroots Grant) in the last 5 years.

Application Procedure:
Fill out the application form at this link. The application form asks for contact information, a current resume/CV, and a short essay on how conference attendance would benefit you and your career. Applications open in early July each summer and close 3 weeks before the early bird registration deadline for the Fall Conference.
