The Membership Committee has recently merged with the New Members Committee! The merge was approved at the August 2023 Executive Board meeting. The committee chairs of Membership and New Members felt that the interests of the two committees aligned, and that a combined group would help maintain a more active committee. The merge also helped address some confusion about the purpose and make-up of the New Members Committee after its transition from Roundtable to Committee.

If you have questions about NDLA membership, don't hesitate to get in touch.

Join us for monthly Water Cooler Chats with the Professional Development Committee!

These virtual "water cooler chats" will take place via Zoom monthly on the 3rd Monday at 1pm and 3rd Wednesday at 4pm. These casual sessions will range from roundtable discussions to committee presentations to crowdsourcing conference proposals and beyond. We envision these as informal sessions to spark conversation, share ideas, and network with fellow ND librarians.

Upcoming Water Cooler dates:

  • March 18 at 1pm / March 20 at 4pm
    • Let's talk summer reading! Come to share ideas and get tips from other libraries. Bring your questions and your success stories!
  • April 15 at 1pm / April 17 at 4pm
    • Join the Conference Committee to hear about the conference session proposal process and start workshopping your ideas!
  • May 20 at 1pm / May 22 at 4pm

Have something to bring to the water cooler? Don't hesitate to reach out to either the Membership or Professional Development Committee co-chairs.
